1. Tail Trail: Leaf Man

The final Tale Trail of the season is a perfect book for fall: Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert. This book provides a colorful, creative look at leaves that Ehlert has collaged to create the story's characters and landscapes. Find out what the Leaf Man sees on his journey, and collect fallen leaves on this group walk to create your very own Leaf Man!

2. The Salisbury Woods Haunted Barn & Trail

It's spooky season! Head to the Salisbury Woods Haunted Barn and Trail and get scared for two great causes. This spook-tacular event is a fundraiser for the MVMS & Salisbury Elementary Parent Teacher Groups. Not recommended for small children.

3. Shaker Saturday

This season, Canterbury Shaker Village is unveiling a series of family-friendly Saturdays at the Village, running through October. This is designed for younger visitors and their families and includes a scavenger hunt, hands-on activities, and crafts tied to a particular theme.

4. Wild Mushroom Walk

Join in for a wild mushroom foray in the woods of Prescott Farm! Collect wild mushrooms, learn what features to look at when beginning to identify wild mushrooms and enjoy a beautiful Fall walk in the woods!

5. Harvest Day

Come celebrate the summer’s harvest at Muster Field Farm Museum! Enjoy the beauty of the farm and reap the benefits of the growing season. The Homestead will be open for tours for a portion of the day and hayrides will be available for all to enjoy. Artists will be on site demonstrating and exhibiting their skills and crafts and visitors will have a chance to listen to live music. Fresh produce will be on sale in the farm stand and homemade soups can be purchased in the Pillsbury Barn.
